Keep an eye our for details on the upcoming Advocacy Day! Due to be in early March, it is our biggest licensure event of the year… It is the one time a year when we get one on one time with legislatures and talk with them about the issues at hand.
This year we will be doing things a little differently.
It will be a virtual happy hour, there will be breakout groups with each of the legislators to meet with our members who are their constituents. We encourage our members to dial in to the virtual call from a project site in their legislators district, then we can talk Landscape Architects role in the work and why it matters for heath, safety and welfare of the public.
Additionally, this year, we will be developing our Online Project Map as an added benefit for firms and sole proprietors becoming a 'Friend of Georgia Landscape Architecture' which helps fund our lobbyist and advocacy efforts. Members will be able to add one or several projects to our collaborative map that is easy to access on our website and acts as a searchable firm and project directory.
