Georgia Landscape Architects: The 2026 license renewal deadline is approaching, and this renewal cycle includes a new step for reporting continuing education.
Renewal Deadline: December 31, 2026
If you hold an active Georgia Landscape Architect license, please plan ahead to complete your renewal and document your continuing education before the December 31 deadline.
Georgia requires landscape architects to complete 12 hours (6 hours each year) of acceptable continuing education during the two-year period immediately preceding renewal. For this renewal cycle, members should be prepared to document their continuing education for 2025 and 2026.
What's different this year?
In addition to completing your renewal through the Georgia Secretary of State's GOALS system, licensees must now report their continuing education through CE Broker.
CE Broker is a new step in the process. The good news: you do not need to purchase a paid CE Broker subscription. The free Basic account is sufficient to report your continuing education and upload supporting documentation.
Start Here: GOALS Step 1 — Access the Georgia Secretary of State GOALS portal
Begin the renewal process through the Georgia Secretary of State's GOALS system:
Important: The free Basic account is sufficient for this process. There is no need to purchase a paid CE Broker subscription simply to report your CE hours and upload certificates.
Step 3 — Gather your CE certificates
Before entering your courses into CE Broker, gather your certificates of completion and other documentation.
ASLA Georgia has provided many of your continuing education opportunities through LACES, ASLA's continuing education tracking system.
You do not need to contact ASLA Georgia to request copies of certificates we have previously provided. Instead, log into your LACES account and download your certificates directly:
ASLA members can log in using their ASLA credentials. Non-members can create an account to track professional development.
Tip: LACES appears to require certificates to be downloaded individually, so give yourself some time to gather your documentation.
Step 4 — Enter your CE activities into CE Broker
For each qualifying continuing education activity, you will enter the course information into CE Broker and attach the appropriate documentation.
Georgia's Landscape Architect rules place responsibility on the licensee for maintaining documentation supporting completion of continuing education, including evidence of completion, course content, and the number of hours. Licensees should retain this documentation for four years.
Step 6 — Complete your renewal in GOALS
Once all of your CE hours have been uploaded to CE Broker, return to the GOALS Licensure Platform to complete the renewal process.
2. Log in or register using your existing credentials
Already Have an Account? If you currently hold a license or have ever applied before, click “Verify Now” to activate your existing account.
Don’t Have an Account? If you do not hold a license or have never applied before with the Professional Licensing Board, sign up using your email address as your username.
3. Locate and select “License Renewal” on your dashboard.
4. Allow GOALS to verify your continuing education compliance. The GOALS system will cross-reference your compliance directly with your CE Broker account.
Important: Wait for your CE hours to show as approved/compliant before proceeding with your renewal.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your application and license information.
6. Pay the renewal fee.
7. Click “Submit” to complete your renewal application.
After submitting, we recommend confirming that your renewal was successfully processed and checking your license status and expiration date through the Georgia Secretary of State's licensing system.
Don't wait until December!
Because this renewal cycle involves both the renewal application and a new CE reporting step, we encourage members to begin gathering certificates and entering CE information into CE Broker now.
